Our Program Model

The Rise Early Learning Center strives to provide high-quality early childhood education that meets the holistic needs of young children and their families in a supportive community setting. To achieve this goal, Rise Early has formed partnerships with CommonBond Communities, Way to Grow, funding partners, and other key community stakeholders to provide comprehensive resources and offer a suite of services to families and children who may benefit from extra support.

These essential partners will guide our work and serve as inspiration within our daily practice.

affordable, high quality childcare equity

We provide high-quality early childhood education (ECE) that is accessible to all children. Scholarships and childcare slots are prioritized for children from families with fewer resources and those who are residents. By providing scholarships and holding childcare slots, families with fewer resources will have improved access to Rise Early. All children will benefit from the high-quality and research-based curriculum. Through ongoing and regular observations and assessments, Rise Early will track the school readiness and developmental milestones of each child.

THE ROLE OF THE CHILD

We believe that children possess a unique profile of intelligence. We consider children meaning-makers and active participants in their own learning process. Children are afforded the freedom to make plans and engage with materials, other children, and adults.

THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY

Rise Early provides a family-centered approach to education by engaging families as the child’s first teacher. Families collaborate with educators to be active participants in their child’s learning.

THE ROLE OF THE EDUCATOR

Consistency and routines established with educators and environments provide emotional stability and foster learning and growth. Educators use observation and documentation of children’s work to respectfully support the whole child’s learning and development. Our goal is be to continually foster relationships and encourage others to see the potential that exists when people come together with a shared vision and collective spirit.

The Curriculum Components

NATURE CURRICULUM

Children participate in active learning and environmental stewardship through daily nature experiences in our outdoor classrooms

THE ARTS

Children participate in consistent, intentional engagement in age-appropriate art and music opportunities through partnerships with professionally trained staff and volunteers.

FOOD PHILOSOPHY

Children participate in the preparation, enjoyment, knowledge, and stewardship of their food and nutrition. We will value exposure to a variety of foods, textures, ethnic cuisines, and methods of preparation, and encourage our students to try new things.
